Despite the BRI’s far outreach and cooperation with developing countries, our analysis of the infrastructures development indicates that certain risks have already had negative effects on both the United States and many developing countries. Included in these risks are unfair debt obligations, high amounts of corruption, and potentially irreversible environmental and social structures.
